Housing in Afghanistan

Last week when I was talking to Hyrum on Skype, he was explaining his different housing options: he could stay where he currently was [a big tent with walls dividing the space into 6 different rooms--but no real ceiling or outside walls--just tent fabric] or move into an available 'container' [imagine the back of a semi-truck turned into a room].  

Here was his analysis:

"The inside of the shipping containers makes you feel like you're in prison.  Where I am now just feels like really poor housing.  I think I'll stay where I am."  

Poverty is a step up from imprisonment.  Nice to know what the options are.  Here's a view of his current digs:
